Privacy Choices and Data Deletion

This page explains how to manage your Saafi data, privacy settings, and account deletion.

Your choices in the Saafi app

In Saafi, you can:

  • Update your name
  • Request an email change
  • Export your data
  • Delete your account
  • Change notification settings
  • Enable or disable app lock
  • Manage your preferred Qur'an reciter
  • Manage high-risk support reminder times

Export your data

To export your data:

  1. Open Saafi.
  2. Go to Profile.
  3. Find Privacy and trust.
  4. Tap Export my data.

Saafi will prepare a JSON file containing your saved account and app data.

Delete your account

To delete your account:

  1. Open Saafi.
  2. Go to Profile.
  3. Open Account Settings.
  4. Tap Delete account.
  5. Confirm deletion.

Deleting your account is designed to remove your Saafi account and saved app data associated with your user ID.

If you signed in with Apple, Saafi will ask Apple for the authorization needed to revoke the app connection during deletion.

If you signed in with email and password, Saafi may ask for your current password before deletion.

If you cannot access the app

If you cannot access your account in the app, email: support@saafiapp.com

Use the subject line:

Account deletion request

Please include the email address connected to your Saafi account. We may need to verify that you control the account before deleting data.

Manage your subscription

Deleting your Saafi account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription.

Manage location access

Saafi uses location to calculate prayer times if you allow it.

To change location access:

  1. Open iOS Settings.
  2. Find Saafi.
  3. Tap Location.
  4. Choose your preferred setting.

Manage notifications

To change Saafi notifications:

  1. Open Saafi.
  2. Go to Profile.
  3. Open Notification settings.

You can also manage notification permission in iOS Settings.

Manage app lock

To change app lock:

  1. Open Saafi.
  2. Go to Profile.
  3. Find Privacy and trust.
  4. Toggle App lock.

Saafi does not receive or store your Face ID, Touch ID, or biometric data.
